Whelen Everyday Champion Andre Harris
On the night of July 28, 2018, Andre Harris was coming back from a routine tow pick-up to find a woman in the road. Andre stopped his vehicle to find a rolled-over vehicle on fire with a baby inside. Andre reacted quickly, broke the glass, and saved the baby’s life. Because of this heroic act, Andre was honored as the 2019 Whelen Everyday Champion. Andre Harris was inducted into the Whelen Hall of Champions. His exhibit was unveiled on November 23, 2019, at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, NC.

Andre risked his life to save a baby from a rolled-over vehicle that was on fire. Andre was working his second job as a tow truck driver one night and found the mother screaming and pulled over to help.
